1. Chances are part of the door lock plastic piece is broken directly on the inside of the handle and this is not registering when you use the key in the door lock. Easy to check/fix, just remove the door handle to inspect. 3. HIDs can be squirrelly, get an HID subharness that runs directly off battery power and only uses the headlight plug as a switch, they're cheap off eBay and universal. Upside to this is it will not cut off your HIDs wen you turn on your high beams, which is why all Zs should use the subharness anyway. Switching on/off HIDs is unhealthy for them. Sorry, I can't help with #2.
